"Exclusive opportunity to enjoy the performance of worlds famous Latvian opera singer Elīna Garanča in Riga, Great Guild Hall on 25th and 27th of february.
Figurative musical language, appeal and feminine charm are qualities that could be invoked speaking of the programme showcasing the magical voice of the great Latvian opera star Elīna Garanča: it will be the singer’s only appearance in Latvia this season. But Kristīne Opolais and Francesca Park will join her for an expressive performance of the trio.
Tempestuous spirit and passion fill the symphonic scores featured in the concert. Richard Strauss’ Don Juan tone poem programmatically is based on a poem by Nikolaus Lenau, which contains the following lines: “Oh lovely world of female beauty! I would not miss a single place where beauty blossoms – to kneel in front of it and conquer it at least for a single moment...”
Programme:
Works by Richard Strauss, Georges Bizet, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Maurice Ravel, Franz Lehár, Leonard Bernstein, Michael William Balfe, Fernando Obradors, and Xavier Montsalvatge"
Ik zou er graag bij zijn, want Riga is een leuke stad. En het trio uit der Rosenkavalier is een van de mooiste momenten in het opera repertoire. Helaas:"ELĪNA GARANČA AND LNSO - SOLD OUT" stond er na diverse onbeantwoorde mailtjes.
P.S.
